After submitting your application form, we will review your details such as course of study, interest and preferred mentors to match you with suitable mentors that can provide you professional guidance for your career development pathway.
- For one-to-one single sessions, each session will take around 45 to 60 minutes. The duration of the session can be extended further to a maximum of 90 minutes if necessary (subject to your mentor’s availability).
- All mentorship sessions can be conducted virtually online. You may discuss with your mentor and use any platforms available such as Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Accordion Item How do I contact my mentor and schedule our mentorship sessions? Discord, Zoom, etc. Physical mentorship sessions or meetups are also encouraged to improve mentor-mentee relationship.
Definitely yes! You should draft out some topics or questions that you would want to know from your mentor to maximize the productivity of your session. You can find some tips on how to prepare for a mentorship session at the resources page.
- If you have successfully scheduled with your mentors, kindly notify your mentor if you won’t be able to attend the session. Please take note that no refunds will be given.
- To become a mentee for our program, first of all you should be our UCSI student. Then you should prepare a resume along with a minimum of 60% score from https://resumeworded.com/. Fill up our application form and attach your resume and score so that you will be able to be our mentee.
- Sometimes, regardless of the information provided, Mentors and Mentees don’t always "fit." If this happens, we suggest that you discuss your decision honestly and kindly with your Mentor; thank them for their time then start a new Mentor search.
- Yes, no matter what your mentor's career is, they can share with you their personal stories of accomplishment, overcoming adversity, perseverance, etc.
The best time to have a mentor is always now. Because mentoring is a learning relationship, it is beneficial to all people regardless of age or stage. It is never too early for learning and goal development, and it is never too late. We often hear from mentors that they, too, want to be mentored!

Once matching is done, you will be given the email address of your mentor and you should initiate the communication via email first. After that you may use any platforms to communicate with your mentor (subject to mentor’s preference) and schedule your sessions accordingly.
You are required to complete at least two (2) sessions to be eligible for the refund. However, you may conduct up to four (4) sessions or more based on your own preference and your mentor’s availability.
