We are the ones who create the trashes, so we should take action to reduce it.

Module 4.0 was conducted to introduce Ecobricks. Ecobricks are plastic bottles packed solid with non-biodegradable plastics to make building blocks. An ocean pollution tunnel is set up by hanging up strings of rubbish at height of eye level, the strings of rubbish will act as the plastics being the obstacles for marine life to move freely under the sea, imitating “Plastic Ocean”. Participants that went through the tunnel simulation can experience the plastic ocean as if they were “marine lives”.

A waste audit was conducted by IZ members on 9/4/2018 to collect data about the amount of food waste produced in UCSI University campus on a daily basis. Participating food stalls include Aroma Café (Block A), Wan Yeah Six Café (Block A) and Cafeteria (Block D). The data collected was analyzed to find ways of curbing food wastage in the campus. Change starts with us as responsible consumers!
